YFC Update

Hello

We hope you enjoyed a break over Easter and didn't eat too many choccies!

Term 2 starts next week and we are looking forward to seeing everyone back in the centre.

Kaya Time starts on Monday 19 April - a free fortnightly playgroup for aboriginal families from 9.30-11am.

CCK will host a Women’s Community Cuppa providing connection, support and friendship.
Join other women in your local community for a welcoming, inclusive fortnightly coffee catch-up. Share stories, enjoy a cuppa and a fun craft activity. Children are welcome to attend and there will be an children’s activity corner set-up. Coffee and tea will be provided.

Monday 19 April from 9.30am - 11.30am

Join us for a FREE Playgroup Come'n'Try session on Thursday 22 April from 10.45am-12.15pm. Suitable for families with children 0-4 years. No bookings required.

Yoga

Join Lucie for Yoga classes at the centre this term!

Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility, it can help manage stress and provide relaxation techniques and benefit your overall health.

We have a number of class options available;

Parent & Child classes - starts Monday 3 May 3.30-4pm
Adult classes - starts Monday 3 May 4.15-5.30pm
Chair Yoga classes - starts Thursday 13 May 8.30-9am
Adult classes with creche - starts Thursday 13 May 9.15-10.15am

First Aid Demonstration for Parents

Introduction or basic refresher on First Aid knowledge related to children and infants. It covers common injuries and illnesses that occur in everyday life.

This course combines both theory and practical demonstrations, including the Recovery Position, CPR and Anaphylaxis. Babies can attend with parent or book a place in creche.

Thursday 13 May from 10.30-12.30pm

Drawing with Sarah

The very talented Miss Sarah will be providing art classes at the centre for 5 weeks.

Building Resilience and Hope

We live in challenging times, and life can feel like a rollercoaster. We can feel overwhelmed, anxious, and despairing at times. Build your resilience and that of your community by taking part in these four workshops. Learn new tools and build connections!

These four workshops are for you, if you ask yourself:

What future are we creating for our kids?
How can I cope with what’s happening in the world?
Can I make a difference?
Are there others who feel the same?

9.15am - 11.45am Mondays

3 May, 10 May, 17 May, 24 May - please commit to coming to all four workshops
$22 for the workshop series & $22 per child for the creche (total for all four sessions)

Belly Dancing

Join Selina for Belly Dancing in Term 2. Bookings are now open. Selina started her belly dance journey in 1998. She is a certified belly dance instructor and has attended workshops including safe dance practice. The personal benefits gained have been great and many friends made along the way.
Belly dancing is a beautiful art form of exercise and fun for people of all ages. It assists to improve self esteem, confidence, body image, self expression and creativity. Bookings essential.

Mummy Mayhem

Sian has been a regular facilitator at the centre in previous years and is now looking to provide a new group. She is calling for Expressions of Interest for Mummy Mayhem. A group to support you on your parenting journey.
