Our wonderful Management Committee Team held a very successful planning day on Saturday prior to our AGM which will be held on Tuesday 27 October at 6.45pm.

Everyone is welcome to attend our Annual General Meeting and new members are very welcome. We are also very keen to increase the diversity of our Management Team so strongly encourage anyone interested in being involved to nominate. More info

Management Planning Day

Our Planning Day included an opportunity to learn more about financial reporting, brainstorming ideas for new branding, updating our risk register and planning for next year.

Chairperson Maria Quaggan was very pleased with the planning day, 'What a great session! Thank you so much to everyone. The energy level was inspiring!'

New Logo - Help Required

Our Planning Day session included reviewing our current logo and brainstorming ideas for a new logo. Thanks to Jacinta who created this mood board based on our ideas!

We need your help to make it a reality!

Call out for a brand specialist to lend their expertise in creating a new logo.
As a not for profit organisation in the City of Cockburn for 28 years, we are volunteers in the community working for our community. In our centre, we pride ourselves on being a cultural hub where children, families, individuals and seniors can embrace diversity and belonging.

If you, or someone you know, have experience in or currently studying graphic design and looking to build your portfolio, please contact our centre.

Energy Efficient Communities Program

Another focus for the centre over the next few months will be improving our sustainability. We are very fortunate to have been selected for the Commonwealth 'Energy Efficient Community Program' funding in addition to a Sustainability Grant from the City of Cockburn.

The funding will provide for the installation of LED lighting and a Solar PV system and the implementation of a Community Energy Program. This will help reduce our running costs and carbon footprint while encouraging our community to consider what they can do to at home.

Annual General Meeting

You are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting to be held at the Yangebup Family Centre at 6.45pm on Tuesday 27 October.

All Community Groups and Centre Users are eligible to attend.

The future operation of the Family Centre is reliant on having a strong and active Management Committee.

It only requires a few hours a month to help keep the centre operational for the Community.
The meeting will include the election of office bearers and members are encouraged to complete a Nomination Form.
Forms are also available from the office.
