We are urging local seniors to join our Active in Yangebup program which includes Chair Yoga, Group Fitness
and new this term Belly Dancing.
The Yangebup Family Centre was successful in receiving funding as part of the Active Neighbourhoods for Older Australians (ANOA) initiative to encourage over 65’s to enjoy physical activity and improve their overall wellbeing. We are offering subsidised chair yoga, belly dancing and group fitness sessions. Please book your sessions.

Introducing Belly Dancing with Selina
Selina started her belly dance journey in 1998, attending classes with of one of the top belly dance instructors in Perth. Over the years, Selina went on to learn various styles of this beautiful art by attending classes from overseas instructors and attending workshops in other parts of Australia, UK, Bali, and Egypt.
The personal benefits gained have been great and many friends made along the way.
Belly dancing is a beautiful art form of exercise and fun for people of all ages. Most belly dance moves flow with the body’s natural ways of moving. It assists to improve self esteem, confidence body image self expression and creativity. It is also an excellent exposure to different cultures. Depending on your age, abilities and health history, you should be able to participate and enjoy this low impact aspects of belly dancing.
