YFC Update

Hi ,

The last few months have certainly been challenging and there has been a great deal of work to ensure we are doing our best to support families, volunteers, staff and our community in different ways.

Thank you for continuing to support us and engage through our facebook groups, WhatsApp groups, May Packs, Enews, Park meetups, and attending Pre-Kindy and Occasional Care.

It has been wonderful to watch the Cockburn Cultural Cooking facebook group grow. It launched on 6 April and just two months later has over 300 members with lots of diversity and sharing.

Over the last couple of weeks we have been working with our community in preparation for returning programs to the centre. Please see our Roadmap and links below to join activities happening in June and July. We are very excited to provide this update. We miss you and look forward to seeing you soon!

Groups Returning

The following groups are returning to the centre in June. Please contact them for more information;

Play Sessions

We will be offering Play Sessions in June and July prior to Term 3 commencing.

The play sessions will be facilitated with lots of fun activities for the kids.

Celebrate the easing of restrictions with our play sessions for families with children 0-5 years. Please bring your own snacks and water bottle. Numbers will be limited and bookings are essential.

Term 3 Enrolment

Now is the time to enrol for Playgroup and Playclub in Term 3! These programs are very popular so please book early! Our programs are facilitated and we provide age appropriate programs for your child in a friendly and safe environment. This is a great chance to meet other families in the community. Do you know we also offer a Playclub at the Atwell Community Centre? Please complete the enrolment form and send to the centre today!

Your Safety

Your safety is important to us!

We have well practised, high standards of hygiene and infection control, with daily cleaning of the centre. We are meeting all of the COVID safety requirements including additional cleaning of surfaces during the day. We are working with groups to ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities.

You can help us all stay safe by remembering to do the following;

Please do not attend the centre if you are unwell
Please complete the Register at the front door and agree to the conditions of entry
Please use the hand sanitiser
Please ensure you follow current social distancing requirements

We also recommend that you have the influenza vaccination. This can be done at either your GP or local pharmacy.
