Hi ,

We hope you and your family are staying safe and enjoying spending time together.

We know that for those with little kids spending lots of time at home can be challenging so this week we are providing some more activity ideas as well as ways to look after yourself and your mental health.

ANZAC DAY Craft

This week you may like to talk to your children about ANZAC Day, showing photographs of poppies and explaining why we wear them.

Miss Robyn and her daughter have made their own ANZAC wreath, once it’s dried they are going to put it up outside for people to see as they walk past.

Resources needed

Paint- red, black & green
1 egg box
1 paper plate
1 glue stick
1 pair of scissors

CCK Virtual Chat

Our friends at Connecting Community for Kids are hosting a Virtual Chat for expecting or new mums.

Are you a pregnant or new mum in the local community who is experiencing an increased level of anxiety or social isolation during the coronavirus pandemic and would like some extra support and connection?
CCK are running a fortnightly chat group via zoom for anyone across Cockburn or Kwinana who is in this situation and would like to jump on and chat to other mums in the same position. They can also point you in the right direction of local services should you be having any issues with feeding, solids, sleeping etc.
The first chat will be next Tuesday 21 April at 10am and will be hosted by Philippa Aitken at CCK who will talk about having a newborn baby during the Christchurch earthquake disaster.

Think Mental Health

Think Mental Health have launched a new mental health campaign to help Western Australians manage their well being through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Encouraging West Australians to Be Positive. Be Connected. Be Active. by focuses on self-care and well being strategies. It provides ways people can support each other and where they can get further help, should they need it.

Share Trolley

The Share Trolley is outside the centre on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8.30am-3.30pm.

If you have pantry items or excess from your garden that you would like to share you can leave it on the trolley for others in the community.
