Yangebup Family Centre

May News 2019

The year is flying past and there has been so much happening at the centre including the Street Library which is now out the front of the centre, a very successful STEM for Girls program and the upgrade to our kitchen.

Our kitchen has been transformed thanks to funding provided by the Stronger Communities Program and support from our local member Josh Wilson and the Department of Communities. Hopefully the final touches will be completed this week. We have already started running Food Sensations classes and the participants were very impressed with the new facilities.

Saturday Playgroup - 9.30-11.30am

Dads are encouraged to attend our Saturday Playgroup! All parents and kids 0-6 years are welcome. The session is facilitated by our staff and includes a free sausage sizzle and lots of fun activities. Bookings and Donations appreciated

Social Toy Box - Ferres Reserve Bibra Lake 10-11.30am

You’re invited to play with our toys! Our first Social Toy Box launch is this weekend. There will be a coffee van, bubbles and free facepainting!
This initiative, funded by the City of Cockburn brings our community together by providing a free box of sand pit toys for children to use at their local park. The toy boxes encourage fun and free play while providing children and adults the opportunity to meet new people and create friendships in their local neighbourhood.

Social Sewing

Join us for Social Sewing. All levels of sewing experience are welcome however these sessions do not include any formal tuition. Please bring your own sewing machine and supplies. Boomerang Bag kits will be available at each session for those who would like to do some community sewing. Cost is $6 per session. Creche is available on Mondays for $6 per child (3rd child $4). Booking is essential as we have limited seats available.

Mums n Bubs

Join us for Mums n Bubs every Monday from 1-2.30pm. Come along for a FREE come n try.

Kids Meal Ideas - Monday 24 June 10-11am

Join Megan will share great healthy meal and snack ideas for little kids. Also great for lunch boxes! Limited places available.

Little Chefs

Come along to our 5 week cooking class starting the 6th June. Cooking delicious food and snacks to enjoy. Children aged 2-4 years with parent or caregiver. Bookings essential, places are limited.

Kaya Time - Monday 10 June 9.30am-11.30am

A time to say hello, have a yarn, make some friends, have a cuppa and watch your little ones
play in a safe and friendly environment.

Occasional Care

Places are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8.30am-3.30pm. We are registered for Childcare Subsidy (CCS) and bookings are taken two weeks in advance. Contact the centre 9417 9995 to book your spot and find out more about CCS.

Enrol now for Pre-Kindy 2020
We are now taking applications for Pre-Kindy 2020. Our PreKindy program fills quickly so make sure you get your application in asap. All the information and application forms are available on our website
