Supporting Reconciliation in Our Community
Yangebup Family Centre is proud to be sponsoring a street banner for the very first time as part of the 2026 National Reconciliation Week
Street Banner Program, presented by Reconciliation WA.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to reconciliation and to creating a more inclusive and respectful future for all West Australians.
During National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June), more than 300 banners will be displayed across the state, encouraging communities to reflect on our shared histories, cultures and the journey toward unity.
The 2026 banners will feature Murrunpa, a powerful artwork by Melissa Sunfly, a proud Kukatja/Ngardi woman from Western Australia. Her work celebrates culture, connection and community, and we are
honoured to support its display.
By participating in this program, we join organisations, community groups and individuals across Western Australia in raising awareness and celebrating the important place of Aboriginal culture in our lives.
Together, we can continue to learn, reflect and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation.
