oops we made an error - Centre Update

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been running a Christmas Food Drive to collect donations for Christmas Hampers to support local families and community members. On Monday, we were thrilled to hand out 16 hampers at our final Food Connections lunch for the year!

A big thank you to the Yangebup Leisure Group, YFC staff, committee, volunteers, and families for their generous contributions of cash and pantry items. Your kindness has made a real difference.

We still have a few hampers available. If you or someone you know could use a little festive cheer, please drop into the Centre to collect one.

Jo and our volunteers will be taking a break over the summer with our first Food Connections lunch for 2026 returning 16 February following our Lunar New Year Community event on Monday 9 February (more details available soon!).

The mobile Foodbank will continue to visit the Centre over the Summer - every Monday except the 29 December.

We are open from Tuesday 13 January for children 6 weeks to 6 years.

We provide a wonderful play based program with caring and experienced educators.

Women's Mindfulness Circle

Join a nourishing and heartfelt gathering designed to support emotional well-being through the practice of women’s MAHA circles. Women have been gathering in sacred circles for centuries. Rooted in ancient tradition, these spaces offer support, reflection, and shared wisdom.

MAHA stands for Movement, Art, and Heart by Ale (Centre’s Yoga Teacher). Each circle is thoughtfully curated to create a calm, safe space where community and connection flourish.

What to Expect: Gentle movement, Guided meditation with seasonal intention, Ceremonial cacao, Art therapy session, Aromatherapy & sacred sounds, A space of healing, calm, and sisterhood.

What to Bring: Comfortable clothing & warm socks, Yoga mat & blanket, Water bottle & mug for cacao, Journal & pen, Fresh flowers or plants from your garden, Crystals, shells, amulets, or personal items for collective energy, A small plate of earthy, fresh food to share.

When: Sunday 18 January 3-5pm

Monster Creation Sewing Workshop

Amy from Sewing Artistry is excited to be running this holiday workshop on Thursday 15 January!

No sewing machine or sewing experience required.

This will be a fun and engaging workshop aimed at introducing your child to sewing and allowing them to use their imagination and creativity while socializing with like minded kids. Great Christmas gift idea!

We are also very pleased to have Amy returning in 2026 to provide sewing machine classes during the school term.
