It has been a super busy term with lots happening for our community!

From Kaya Kwobidak Bush Flower Essence Workshop, to Dads and Kids Pizza Night to a range of Sustainability Workshops, there has been something for everyone 🙂

It was wonderful to have Nikki Quartermaine visit the Centre and provide a hands on experience making a bush flower essence remedy and sharing her knowledge explaining the cultural uses and healing qualities of native wildflowers. The workshop was very well attended and our staff and committee provided a bush tucker inspired morning tea for our participants.

We have been providing a wonderful array of Sustainability Workshops this term including making bags, bunting and slow stitched bookmarks from leftover scrap materials and pre-loved fabrics. Thanks to the City of Cockburn for supporting these workshops. It's not too late to join in - we still have a few workshops coming up in Term 4. More details

Our Craft n Chat group celebrated 6 years since originally forming as Social Sewing in 2018 this month. New members and all crafts are welcome to join us on Mondays or Saturdays held monthly 🧶🧵☕

Mater Christi Parish volunteers provided a scrumptious Community Eats Dinner serving up pasta, garlic bread and sides followed by apple crumble and ice cream! We had over 90 people attend and enjoy spending time together with our community.  Our final Community Eats for 2024 will be hosted by YFC on Friday 4 October from 6-7pm - we look forward to you joining us 😀
