The Yangebup Family Centre is proud to be named finalist in the 2023 Community Services Excellence Awards!
CSEA recognise the outstanding work and achievements of the community service sector in WA, and commemorates the positive difference made to people, families, and communities through innovative and creative practice.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Monday 1
May at Optus Stadium.
The awards are a partnership between WACOSS and the Department of Communities, and are supported by Lotterywest.
We were very proud to be a finalist for the Linkwest Awards which
acknowledged the initiatives of six outstanding Centres.
Our nomination was for the Yangebup Community Eats initiative.
Chairperson Tracy Pearson, Community Development Officer Jo McGillivray and Manager Samantha Williams attended the Linkwest Conference just prior to
Easter where the awards were presented.
As a finalist for the People's Choice Award we provided a 10 minute presentation on the Yangebup Community Eats initiative. Which included the Community Eats video below.

Community, the local partner organisations, volunteers and community for making this initiative a huge success!

The lovely Selina provides classes suitable for beginners to intermediate, all ages and all abilities.
Belly Dancing is a beautiful art form of exercise and fun for people of all ages. It assists you to improve self esteem, confidence, body
image, self expression and creativity.
Chair Belly Dance is also available for people who require an alternative method to participate in the class. It has many benefits such as correct isolations of upper/lower body and still have great fun.
This term is 6 weeks Thursday 11.45-12.30pm, 11 May - 15 June. Creche available.
