Rain, HAIL or Shine...

We celebrated in style!

We celebrated 30 years on Saturday 13 August with special guests, old friends, new friends and our community.

The official presentations commenced with beautiful words delivered by Aunty Neta Knapp and a lovely birthday gift to celebrate our 30 years titled “Colours of our Land”.

Our special guests Josh Wilson MP, David Scaife MLA, Mayor Logan Howlett and Linkwest CEO Jane Chilcott shared in our celebrations with Chairperson Maria Quaggan, and staff Samantha Williams and Joanne McGillivray. We were delighted to see many of the original staff members from 1992 attending the day! It is so wonderful to see them still connected to each other and the Centre.

Our Open Day was also a great opportunity to thank David Scaife MLA for supporting our Centre. We officially unveiled the plaque and opened the new outdoor nature playground and renovated bathrooms!

While the weather was disappointing we were overwhelmed with the support we received from our community with over 850 people attending despite the rain and hail! Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us, sharing stories, donating cakes, volunteering their time and enjoying our special day.

Purple Bra Day - 19 September

It’s time to check the purple bra (we will have some available on the day), dust off the purple tutu and fluff up that purple feather boa and make sure you are ready to support West Australians facing breast cancer!
Join us at the Yangebup Family Centre for a fundraising morning with entertainment, door prizes and drinks provided. Please being a small plate of morning tea (nut free) to share. Tickets are $10 and there will be a raffle so please bring some cash with you. All monies raised support Breast Cancer Care WA.
Your support helps to make a difference to peoples lives when they need it the most!

Playgroup in the Park is on this Wednesday

Join us for Playgroup in the Park this Wedensday 14 September at Botany Park, Hammond Park. We will be providing activities for children 0-5 years of all abilities in a welcoming space. Please be sunsafe and bring your own snacks, drinks and picnic rug.
Pavement for wheelchairs / prams, toilets with disability access and ACROD parking available.
